After The Fire: Wildfire Survivor Tips – Free PDF download (click on link) I put together this tips booklet after losing our home and my business in a Colorado wildfire. Please share it with others who need help. I will add more tips to this booklet over time. –Laura Lollar
Nomad’s Fire: Life at the Intersection of Loss and Significance – This is Dr. Sid Webb’s story of losing it all in Colorado’s Black Forest Wildfire and insights on how to maneuver through crisis and recover when life deals you a bad hand. He poses the question, “If you lost everything, would your life still matter?” This book contains a special appendix with tips on how to support a friend through disaster. The Disaster Recovery Handbook & Household Inventory Guide – This is the book they gave us at the Disaster Recovery Center. It was VERY helpful, especially as I tacked the grueling process of trying to remember everything we’d had in our house, my business, garage, etc. It is well worth the $15 you’ll pay for it.
